Adolfo and Bertha Martinez, owners of Art's Trucks and Equipment in McAllen, recently committed $100,000 to create an endowed scholarship at The University of Texas-Pan American. Their commitment consists of an initial cash donation and naming the University as beneficiary of a community foundation account that the couple has established as part of their estate plan. Knowing the sacrifices and strong commitment necessary to succeed in life, the Martinez' want to impact UTPA students' lives by helping them reach their higher education goals. The foresight and planning by the couple, who have generously supported their community and education, affirms UTPA's mission - to prepare students for lifelong learning and leadership roles in their state, nation, and world community.
