With Spring Commencement drawing near, students have begun preparing for their many graduation needs during Grad Days 2006, March 27-29, at the University Bookstore. The bookstore holds this event each year so students can purchase such items as their cap and gown, announcements, memory stole, diploma frame, and class ring. During Grad Days, students were also able to pick up their graduation tickets and find out more about the UTPA Alumni Association. John Corona (above), a criminal justice major and prospective graduate from Harlingen, talks with Jaime Gould from Jostens about ordering his class ring. This is not the last opportunity for UTPA students to take care of these graduation needs, however it is the only time the company sends its representatives to help with ordering. Students are encouraged to order graduation announcements and purchase their cap and gown as soon as possible. Spring 2006 Commencement Exercises are set for Saturday, May 13. For more information on purchasing graduation regalia, contact the University Bookstore at 956/381-2252.
