More than 60 exhibitors are set to attend the 33rd Annual Career Day Tuesday, Feb. 28 at The University of Texas-Pan American. Prospective employers represent such entities as: government agencies, corporations, school districts, hospitals, and more.
The career fair is from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. in the UTPA Fieldhouse, and students are encouraged to dress professionally and bring plenty of résumés. Velinda Reyes, director of Career Placement Services, said it is never too early for students to prepare for their job search, and she encourages all students to attend.
"I believe we have very talented students who are capable of working in all areas of industry and government," Reyes said. "I encourage all students to come out and network with employers who have taken an interest in UTPA."
The Career Day Networking Social will provide an opportunity for students to network with exhibitors. The reception is set for Monday, Feb. 27 at 6 p.m. in the University Ballroom. All students, faculty, and administrators are invited; admission is free and the attire is business casual.
