UTPA faculty and staff wear red to show support

The University of Texas-Pan American held the second Annual Wear Red Day at the UTPA Annex ballroom Feb. 2. Wear Red Day is a nationwide campaign that helps promote and support women's heart disease awareness. During the event, sponsored by the Provost's Initiative on Campus Wellness and Border Health Office, UTPA faculty and staff wore red to show their support. Also Joanne McGrew, family nurse practitioner for McAllen Heart Surgeons was invited to present information to faculty and staff about the importance of heart disease awareness, especially for women.
