HESTEC volunteers honored during appreciation ceremony

Students, faculty, staff and volunteers from The University of Texas-Pan American who participated in Hispanic Engineering, Science and Technology Week - Sept. 26-Oct. 1 - were invited to the HESTEC Appreciation Luncheon at the Student Union Theater Dec. 6. Guests who attended the luncheon enjoyed a performance by the UTPA Salsa Band, prizes, and a box lunch. During the event, sponsored by the Division of External Affairs, Dr. Blandina Cárdenas, UTPA president, and Dr. Roland Arriola, vice president for External Affairs, thanked all UTPA departments community volunteers that helped make HESTEC 2005 Week a success by bringing more than 30,000 people to the campus.
