Six UTPA pharmacy program students receive scholarships

Six students from The University of Texas-Pan American Cooperative Pharmacy Program were each awarded a $1,500 scholarship from Walgreens during a reception Oct. 6. This is the fourth year Walgreens has given scholarships to students in the program - which offers a six-year curriculum in cooperation with The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy leading to a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. The UTPA Cooperative Pharmacy Program invites high school seniors to attend the UTPA-UT Austin Cooperative Pharmacy Program Open House Thursday, Oct. 27 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the UTPA Visitors Center. Students will have the opportunity to meet the program's faculty and staff and learn more about the program, admission process and the pharmacy profession. For more information, call 956/318-5255.
