WAF continues support for UTPA women's athletics program

The Women's Athletics Fundraisers (WAF) group at The University of Texas-Pan American was honored during a Lady Bronc basketball game for their fundraising efforts on behalf of the Lady Bronc women athletes. WAF presented $20,000 to help support the women's athletics program and $5,000 toward the Fifth Year Scholarship Program initiated by WAF in 2002. Since its inception, WAF has contributed more than $65,000 for the women's athletics and Fifth Year Scholarship programs. Accepting the check on behalf of the athletics department was Jim Lancaster, assistant athletic director for sports medicine.
