Faculty and administrators from the College of Business Administration (COBA) at The University of Texas-Pan American and Facultad de Comercio y Administración de Tampico at the Universida Autonoma de Tamaulipas (FACT/UAT) in Mexico met March 28 at the UTPA campus to discuss areas of possible collaborative efforts between the universities including the establishment of a student exchange program via the Center for International Studies and COBA, a visiting professor or faculty exchange program and joint research opportunities. Also discussed were the details of an accord between the universities to establish a Ph.D. program in international business in Tampico with UTPA providing mentorship through visiting professors for some of the courses in the program.
