Students sell Valentine gifts to raise funds for charities

Angelica Lopez (right), a sophomore majoring in social work, sells a Valentine's Day Bear and candy supporting the Buckner Children and Family Services to Josie Herrera (left), a sophomore majoring in business and work study student in the Office of University Relations at The University of Texas-Pan American. Lopez's sales of bears were a part of the volunteer internship she serves as a member of the Student Leadership Program at UTPA. Buckner Children and Family Services' mission is to strengthen individuals and families by providing services ranging from parenting classes for incarcerated women to residential treatment for abused and neglected children. In the Rio Grande Valley, Buckner operates the Rio Grande Children's Home in Mission.
