The UTPA Children's Theatre production of Herman Ammann's "The Little Troll Without a Soul" will run Oct. 28-31 at the Student Union Theater. The show is perfect, wholesome Halloween fun for kids and kids at heart.

For faculty, staff, students, and community members with little ones (or even not so little ones) who seek to get into the Halloween spirit, come and watch the endearing story of a young troll who lives with his mean and heartless boss, the Witch.

She is his constant reminder that he has no soul and thereby lacks the ability to love and be loved. The Witch's only satisfaction in life is spreading ugliness and hate and turns pretty little girls into rag dolls.

As the troll and the dolls desperately attempt to escape the Witch's clutches, they discover that beauty is only skin deep, and "no one is ugly who is loved, and to be loved is to have a soul."

Special matinees are being offered Oct. 28-29 at 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. for elementary schools wishing to attend. The Oct. 30-31 performances are open to the public. The show will run on Saturday, Oct. 30 at 2 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. There will be one performance on Sunday, Oct. 31 at 2 p.m. Don't miss the fun!

Admission to the performance is $3 per person. UTPA students, staff and faculty with validated ID's will receive two free admissions.
