Above, a Capoeira Angola demonstration is performed by students at The University of Texas-Pan American as one of many activities during Pan American Days 2004. The demonstration featured the African-Brazilian art form combining fighting techniques and dance movements. Pan American Days features a week of speakers, performers and exhibits from Latin America. The weeklong event concludes with a Valley Symphony Ensemble and Reception Friday, April 16, 7 p.m. at the UTPA Media Theatre. The Office of International Programs and the Valley Symphony are co-sponsoring the concert, while the reception will be hosted by the UTPA International Women's Board. Tickets are $20.
