The University of Texas-Pan American Honors Program will host Spring Fling 2004 on April 24, 7 p.m.-midnight, at the Shary-Shivers Mansion in Mission. The event will feature a wide array of food from Cornerstone Grill and live music from the River Rock Band. A live and silent auction will offer a great selection of items available to the highest bidders. Tickets are $50 per person. Proceeds from the event will help fund scholarships for UTPA Honors Program students. The Honors Program is an academic enrichment program that offers special honors classes at the freshman and sophomore levels, an independent study program at the upper levels and other activities and opportunities providing enhancement to the basic curriculum.
