UTPA president testifies before congressional members

Dr. Miguel A. Nevárez, president of The University of Texas-Pan American, joined other university presidents from South Texas to discuss how to expand educational opportunities for Hispanics Monday, Oct. 6 at the UTPA International Trade and Technology Building. Nevárez testified before a Subcommitee on Select Education of the U.S. House of Representatives, which included Congressman Ruben Hinojosa and Select Education Subcommitte Chairman Peter Hoekstra, Michigan.
