Incoming freshmen to The University of Texas-Pan American have begun moving into their dorms to begin a new chapter in their lives. This year, for the first time, both UTPA dorms - Troxell Hall and the Women's Residence Hall - are filled to capacity. It's estimated that all 600 beds in the dorms will be occupied. To help new students ease into dorm life, UTPA administrators, staff and students assisted incoming freshmen and their families by helping them move into their new rooms and answering any questions about the campus. Above, UTPA Vice President for Business Affairs James R. Langabeer (front left) welcomes and helps one of many students move into their dorms on Thursday, Aug. 21. Other UTPA administrators who assisted students included, Dr. Rodolfo Arévalo, provost/vice president for Academic Affairs; Dr. John Edwards, vice president for Enrollment and Student Services; and Dr. Ted von Ende, executive director for Institutional Effectiveness.
