The University of Texas-Pan American Occupational Therapy Program invites students and the public to attend an open house at the Health Quad from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, April 21 in observance of National Occupational Therapy Month.

"This is a time to introduce ourselves to the public. We use this month to highlight the services we offer individuals, groups and the community," said Shirley Wells, assistant professor in the Occupational Therapy Program and chair of Occupational Therapy Month.

The UTPA program, which graduates 20-24 students each year, was started in cooperation with the program at The University of Texas, San Antonio more than five years ago. Beginning in fall 2004, the UTPA program will offer master's degrees in the field.
