The University of Texas-Pan American Political Science Association will host "A conversation with Kika de la Garza" Tuesday, February 25 from 12-1 p.m. at the Social and Behavioral Sciences Building Room 101.
The event will allow UTPA students the opportunity to speak to the Former U.S. Congressman Kika de la Garza about his experiences as a public official. Aspiring politicians will also be allowed to ask questions about his duties and responsibilities as a member of congress.
De la Garza represented the Rio Grande Valley for almost 30 years. During his years as congressman, de la Garza chaired the agriculture committee.
