The University of Texas-Pan American announces its newest arrival on campus. Café a la Cart opened its kiosks and began serving students in the UTPA library lobby at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11. The aroma of coffee and the line of students waiting to buy food and drinks filled the lobby.

UTPA students enjoy the new Café a la Cart at the library lobby.

"I like it because I don't have to go to the Student Union to buy food. I spend most of my time in the library studying, so I like a place nearby," said one student who was buying his morning coffee.

Café a la Cart has a wide selection of food and drinks. On its menu one can find wraps, hoagies, chef salads, fruit salads, baked goods, coffee, juice, sodas and water with prices ranging from $4.99 to $.75. The Starbucks coffee was an immediate favorite.

"The smell of coffee is going to fill up the lobby. If you don't have money when you come to the library and you smell something really good it's going to stay with you," pointed out a student who had been waiting for Café a la Cart to open.

Café a la Cart only accepts cash and operates from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday in the UTPA library lobby.
