The University of Texas-Pan American Pan American Summer Stock Theatre has cast the third and final play in this year's season, Milcha Sanchez-Scott's "Latina."

Performances are scheduled for 8 p.m. July 4-6 and 2 p.m. July 7 at the Albert L. Jeffers Theatre. A comedy about immigrant domestic servants in Los Angeles, the play directed by Albert Garza has a cast of 26 people, including 20 women.

Veteran actresses include Melinda Marroquin as Sarita, Debra Thomas as Eugenia, Letty Valladares as Maria, Susibeth Villanueva as Clara and Pat McEnnis as Mrs. Levine. Among the newcomers are Sarah Jeske, Carina Medrano, Victoria Marroquin, Cassandra Hinojosa and Rachael Goulke.

In addition, Sanchez-Scott will be available in the theatre following each performance - along with the crew, actors and Garza - to greet the public.

Sanchez-Scott is currently writing a play which will have its premiere next April on the University Theatre stage as part of the University's 75th anniversary celebration. It also will mark the 70th anniversary of theatre at Pan Am.

For this production, no children under third grade will be admitted. Tickets are $10 for reserved seating and $5 for general admission. UTPA students, faculty and staff get two free admissions with each ID. Students and faculty from other colleges and high schools pay only $3 for a general admission seat.

Reservations for the entire season of seven plays are still available. The cost of the season subscription is $50.

The box office is open daily Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and one hour prior to each performance. For reservations and information, call 956/381-3581.
