University Gallery hosts exhibit by high school teachers, students

The University of Texas-Pan American University Gallery is hosting "High School Art Invitational - Art Teachers as Mentors," a show of artwork from the four Edinburg high schools, March 20-29.

A reception with the teachers and their students is Thursday, March 21 from 5-7 p.m. in the University Gallery in the Communication Arts and Sciences Building.

Participating will be Edinburg North High School teachers Manny Saenz, Terry Vina and Julio Mondelongo, while art teachers Melanie Glasper, Edgar Hinojosa and Charles Champion represent Economedes High School. Edinburg High School features teachers Raymond Ramirez, Joey Caceres and Lauro Hinojosa, with Esmeralda Benitez representing the Teacher's Academy.
