MBA students visit Wall Street

Five students of "Delta Force," the Master's in Business Administration class of 2001 at The University of Texas-Pan American, recently visited Wall Street in New York. From left are Dr. Avraham Shama, dean of the College of Business Administration; Dr. Jane LeMaster, director of graduate studies in the College of Business Administration; Elke Sartor; Maria Alejandro; Maureen Murphy; Mario Salinas; Jose R. Vielma; Victor V. Valverde, Lone Star Investment Services/Raymond James investment executive branch manager; and Paul R. Rodriguez, Lone Star National Bank vice president. Offered by the College of Business Administration as part of the second year of the MBA program, the one-week conference features noted speakers on several subjects, including financial markets, corporations, the global economy and the Federal Reserve. Tours included the New York Stock Exchange, the Nasdaq Stock Market, the Mercantile Exchange, the Federal Reserve Bank, corporate offices, brokerages and banking firms.
