EDINBURG - The University of Texas-Pan American Southwest Border Nonprofit Resource Center is presenting the third annual Funders' Forum Friday, June 16 at the UTPA Annex, 2412 S. Closner.
The forum is a premier event showcasing state and national foundations and corporations. Panelists will make presentations on their respective organizations' programs, guidelines and areas of interest for the coming funding year.
Irene Sanchez-Casas, director of the Southwest Border Nonprofit Resource Center, said this event is a prime opportunity for local nonprofits to meet face-to-face with high-profile foundations.
"As nonprofits become more knowledgeable and proficient in making their needs known to foundations, the foundations will become more knowledgeable of the needs of this community," she said.
This year's participants include The Meadows Foundation, Houston Endowment, Inc., The Fannie Mae Foundation, The Hogg Foundation, RGK Foundation, Swalm Foundation, the Levi Strauss Foundation, Kenedy Memorial Foundation and the Estill Foundation.
There is a $70 registration fee for SBNRC members and a $90 fee for non-members.
