EDINBURG - With a few simple strokes of the keyboard, UTPA students are now able to take job hunting to the next level with the new online resume service offered at The University of Texas-Pan American.
The new online resume service located at http://www.panam.edu/resume allows students the opportunity to register, place resumes and biographical information online for thousands of companies to review. Students need only a UTPA e-mail account to login to the resume service.
"This service offers a very good opportunity for students who are ready to start their career," said Enedelia Pina Kidd, director of Career Placement Services at UTPA. "This very fast service brings together UTPA students with thousands of local and national companies searching for good employees."
According to Kidd, more than 3,000 companies have already been notified of the new online service offered at UTPA.
"Many of our corporate recruiters have indicated that they are very busy and on the road a great deal of the time," Kidd said. "Having this service available to them makes it easier and faster for them to have access to our students. They can obtain resumes and other information through the service anytime."
According to Kidd, any company wishing to interview students on campus can register online for interviewing services as well.
The service is free to all UTPA students. A $25 service fee will be charged to UTPA alumni wishing to use the service.
