The Graphic Design Club at The University of Texas-Pan American and Myth Adventures Comics of McAllen are sponsoring a comic art exhibition at Myth Adventures at 3000 N. 10th Street, Suite C, in McAllen.

A reception for the exhibit will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, April 9, also at Myth Adventures. Hours are Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.

"If you're a fan of good art and good writing, you should come see the show and see what others are doing," said Ramsey Ramirez, a UTPA design student and a contributor and assistant to the project.

Edwin Cuenco, assistant professor of art at UTPA and organizer of the exhibit, will be introducing a book illustration course this year at the university.

"We wanted to get everyone together and help people learn about (graphic art) programs that are out there," said Victor Esquivel, acting president of the UTPA Graphic Design Club.
