Monday, July 13, is the application deadline for students planning to register late for fall classes at The University of Texas-Pan American.
Applicants must turn in an application form, test scores and supporting documents such as high school or college transcripts by July 13 to ensure processing for admission for the fall 1998 semester. For the first time this fall, applicants also must show they have taken the Texas Academic Skills Program (TASP) test.
Under a new state regulation, anyone enrolling for fall classes at any state institution of higher education in Texas, including UT Pan American, must take the TASP before they will be allowed to enroll in classes.
Applications received after July 13 will be processed for the spring semester.
Students who apply now will register for fall classes Aug. 26 and 27 in the University Fieldhouse. Registrants will be given an appointment time in their registration packets at a mandatory orientation session.
Fall classes begin Aug. 31.
