The UT Pan American Concert Band, under the direction of Dr. Dean R. Canty, associate professor of music, will present a "Classic Works for Band" concert at 8 p.m. March 31 in the university's Fine Arts Auditorium.
Featured music will be early transcriptions from great orchestral and opera material - The Barber of Seville by Rossini, "Finale" from the New World Symphony by Dvorak, "Coronation Scene" from Boris Godounow by Moussorgsky and Mannin Veen by Haydn Wood.

The group's performance of "Rubores" by Marquina, "The White Rose March" by Sousa and "Barnum and Bailey's Favorite" by Karl King will showcase the band in a more traditional style.
