Tango subject of talk, demonstration at UT Pan American Library March 8

Dr. Nestor Lugones, lecturer in the Department of Modern Languages and Literature at The University of Texas-Pan American, will give a presentation on the tango at 2 p.m. March 8 in the Schilling Room on the second floor of the University Library.

"The Tango: From the House of Ill-Repute to the Opera House" will include song lyrics translated by Dr. James C. Maloney, associate professor in the same department, and a live tango demonstration.

A reception will follow the program, which is free and open to the public. The lecture is sponsored by the Friends of the Library. Parking is available on the north side of campus in Lot H near the Business Administration Building. For more information, call 381-2755.
