It is the policy
of The University of Texas-Pan American that all professional
services contracts be awarded in accordance with the provisions of
Texas Government Code, Title 10, Chapter 2254, Subchapter A,
and the guidelines in The University of Texas-Pan American
Handbook of Operating Procedures, Section 8.2.6. The University
of Texas Board of Regents’ Rules and Regulations, Series
80403, provides additional guidelines on professional services
contracts related to new construction projects of $1,000,000 or less
and repair and rehabilitation projects of $2,000,000 or less.
The Handbook of
Operating Procedures, Section 8.2.6, provides detailed procedures
for requesting of professional services by requisitioning departments.
The policy applies to all professional services contracts entered into
by The University of Texas-Pan American regardless of the funding
source.
