The
UTPA Help Desk is in charge of hardware and software troubleshooting
for the entire university. You can contact them via email or by phone
at extension 2020. They will do everything in their power
to get your issues resolved in a cheerful and
prompt manner. In addition, the Help Desk offers consulting
in these major areas in its ongoing attempts to match technology
to campus needs: computer problems and questions, software training,
purchasing software, and purchasing hardware.
The Help Desk has recently merged with the E-Mail Support
Help Desk (see below) and is physically located in the Academic
Services and Computer Labs Building, room 102, as you walk in the
West door

The
services offered by the E-Mail Support Desk include activation assistance,
password changes, Campus Pipeline and Bronc Central support for students, faculty
and staff. Faculty and staff can also get help on exchange accounts,
email clients, and MS Office support and consultation.
The
newest addition
to
the IT Service Desk repertoire is an array of training sessions designed to help
UTPA's Faculty and Staff exploit the resources offered by the university.

Internet Services Team is a group of web developers who
assist with the technical design,
production, programming, and maintenance
of web sites and applications for The University of Texas-Pan
American. Presently the Team maintains the majority of UTPA web
pages, while assisting with development

The Information Technology Service Desk IT Training is available to the faculty

of Texas-Pan American.
This series of trainings is designed to create a foundation upon which anyone
can build a great number of skills. From the basics of computing, to the use
of highly evolved software, our trainings will provide the attendee with the
information necessary to properly handle--and easily erect higher knowledge
of--such programs.
Trainings provided throughout the campus are listed on this site. Specialized
training sessions for the use of Oracle in different administrative areas,
SPO Rules, Travel workshops, and even sessions to grasp the concepts of Microsoft
Office are available among many others.

The Academic Computing Labs is the place where students have access
to a wealth of computers and computer equipment. The variety of software that
is installed on this machines is sure to meet the needs of the courses
that require them. The Academic Computing site offers general information
such as lab hours and location. It also features a forum in which
students, faculty, and staff can interact to help solve each other's
problems.

secure site provides UTPA college students, faculty and administrative
staff with world-class Intranet and Internet services. This is
where you can check e-mail, inquire about some of your student
information, and explore the Internet.
For Help with WebCT please contact WebCT.
WebCT is a site who's main purpose is to contribute to the education
process. It allows for online interaction between students and professors.
Students can share study notes or even chat about certain topics
that were covered in class.
