Web Site Request
UTPA departments may request a web site at webhelp@utpa.edu.
1. To initiate a request, forward an email requesting to create a new web site or to access a web site.
2. Internet Services will contact you to give you the information necessary to begin proccesing your request and to set a meeting to discuss project details and determine datelines.
3. After our initial meeting, one of our developers will be assigned to your project and will be in contact with the person requesting the web site to provide information necessary for your web site.
4. If at the time of the meeting you have not yet submitted a Web Services Request Form, we will send a reminder after our first meeting, and we will begin processing your request once the form has been submitted to our office.
In order
to expedite your request,
please download and complete the Web_Services_Request_Form. Submit the form at the Distribution Window in the New Computer Center, north adjacent to the Math Building, addressed to Kumar Raman/Internet Services.
The following are the instructions to complete this form:
In the REQUEST FOR WEB SITE/ACCESS TO EXISTING WEB SITE section, for
Request Type, select type of web site your are requesting: Departmental, Faculty, or Staff.
For
Request To, select one of the following options: Create Web site, Create Web Space only, or Access Web Site.
Select Other if you wish to have site re-directed, change DNS, or have user(s) permissions removed from current web site folder.
In the Required section, please include the Division, College, and Department that is approving your request.
If your office is not part a department, select one of the other options in this section.
In the Other Description of Services, type your request including the web site DNS name. Also include the name and email of those who will be editing/maintaining the web site.
If requesting new web site, include the suggested URL:

utpa.edu/programs/yourwebite
In the USER INFORMATION section,
type your information.
In the ACCOUNT INFORMATION (for Departmental web site requests only) section,
include Budget Account info and Account Manger signature.
This is to confirm approval has been given by your department to create this web site. No fees will be accrued to your budget.
In the USER ACKNOWLEDGEMENT section,
Please sign and date.
