Question: What are the basic
steps involved to creating a departmental web site?
Answer: Internet Services will schedule a meeting with
you to review your web site requirements. We will
coordinate with Computer Systems Staff to grant you permission
to access your web folder on the web server. We will help you map
the directory of your web site to your computer, so that you can
access it via a drive letter. We will keep you updated
via email or telephone on the progress of the web site. Once the
web site design and development have been completed by us, the
requesting department is responsible for maintaining the content
on their site. We
will show you how to edit content using a HTML editor.
