Office Procedures for Human Resources Office

The following is a Guide for frequently asked questions for procedures used by the Human Resources Office.  For further questions, please contact the UTPA Human Resources Office.
Process Name Purpose
Discipline and Dismissal To provide a fair mechanism for administering severe disciplinary action.
Employee Grievance To provide all employees with a mechanism to voice concerns over working conditions or treatment.
Exit Procedures To update employee records, clear holds, and release paycheck.
Personnel Requisition To hire a new employee.
Sign In (for new employees) To ensure that employee is eligible to work, information required by the State and Federal governments is on file, and set up employee's benefits package.
Termination Notice for Direct Wage Employees To initiate exit procedures for a direct wage employee who is leaving UTPA.
Termination Notice for Salaried Employees To initiate exit procedures for a salaried employee who is leaving UTPA.
MOEs for Direct Wage Employees To allow an assignment for a new employee to be created on computer systems.
MOEs for Regular Staff/Faculty To allow an assignment for a new employee to be created on computer systems.
Revised MOEs for Direct Wage Employees To extend an assignment for an existing employee.
Revised MOEs for Salaried Staff/Faculty To obtain approval required from outside the Division of Business Affairs.
