College Dean: Dr. Bruce Reed

Message from Dean

Welcome to the College of Health Sciences & Human Services! Thank you for your interest in exploring the wonderful educational and career options available in our diverse College. Navigating through our recently designed Website will give you key information about our 9 distinct disciplines, career options, scholarships, employment possibilities, and a chance to learn more about our dynamic faculty, staff, and programs.

In terms of student support, in addition to standard university-level financial aid, many of our disciplines have their own scholarship opportunities – in fact, during the 2006 2007 academic year, the College had over $2,000,000 in scholarship money available to our majors. Students can also take advantage of employment opportunities such as research assistantships which allow them to work closely with faculty on cutting-edge research projects.

Another distinction of all of our programs is the focus on hands-on, field-based learning. Internships, practical, clinical rotations, and other field-based experiences are an integral part of learning in the College of Health Sciences & Human Services.

Again, thanks for your interest and we hope you choose to join us!

Dean Bruce J. Reed
