For Students:

Your UTPA Account is necessary to have access to the following areas/services:

Computer Labs
UTPA BlackBoard (WebCT)
Library Databases
Student Email Account (Hotmail)
ASSIST
Student Wireless Network

Also, your UTPA Account will grant you access (if you are a student in the current semester) to download free Site Licensed Software from download.utpa.edu.

For Faculty and Staff:

You will have to wait for a letter in the mail with your username and temporary password. Once you have this information, you will need to change the password.

Your UTPA Account is necessary to have access to the following areas/services:

Computer Labs
Computer In Your Office
Faculty-Staff Wireless Network
Training Website
Library Databases
Employee Email Account (exchange)

The following areas also use your UTPA Account, but require for access to be granted:

ASSIST
Banner INB
UTPA BlackBoard (WebCT)
Oracle E-Business (Timecards)

Also, your UTPA Account will give you access (once you are officially hired for the current semester) to download free Site Licensed Software from download.utpa.edu.

If you experience any problem with your UTPA Account, you can first check the Frequently Asked Questions and the Tutorials. If that doesn't help, you can also stop by the UTPA CSS - Service Desk located in the Academic Services Building room 1.102 or call the CSS - Call Center (956) 381-2020.
