Office of the Registrar
The Office of Records and Registration is also known as the Registrar's Office, and is one of oldest offices in higher education. Its origin can be traced to the twelfth century. The Office's mission is to provide a variety of services to its customers who include students, faculty, staff and the
general public. It serves as the official record keeper of the University and is responsible for the maintenance and certification of student academic records. Other duties related to the maintenance of records include registration, dropping and adding of classes, name and address changes, insuring student is Texas Success Initiative (TSI) compliant, final degree requirement checkout, graduation, distribution of diplomas, and official transcripts. Other certification of a student status include certifying student's eligibility for veteran benefits or athletic competition.
