Network Connection

Description

The wired network provides connectivity throughout campus allowing students, faculty, staff, and guests to access UTPA network resources and services.

Functionality

The wired network allows users to access resources from any physical network port on campus. It provides commodity Internet and Internet2 access to campus users. It interconnects to regional, state, national, and international research and educational networks at 1Gpbs and soon at 10Gpbs. Troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of networking problems are provided functions.

Hours of Availability

Network service is available 24/7. Networking service requests can be made during normal University business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm from Monday – Friday.
