DHCP Reservation Request (Static IP Allocation)

Description

A DHCP reservation creates a permanent IP address lease assignment by the DHCP server. Reservations assure that a specified hardware device on the network can always use the same IP address.

Functionality

Static IP allocation allows customers to efficiently share resources (such as printers, scanners, or file shares) over the network, ensuring access to the resource by assigning a specific IP address to a particular device.

Hours of Availability

Service is available during normal University business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm from Monday – Friday.
