The various uses of this technology includes classes taught by faculty on the UTPA campus to students at other locations, or students on the UTPA campus receiving classes from faculty at another campus. Conferencing technology also facilitates meetings for collaboration between faculty, students, administrators, and researchers in different parts of the globe as well as providing an opportunity for receiving continuing education and staff development courses offered via webinars and web conferences. The Conferencing Technologies Support Unit provides the technical resources and assistance needed for successful conferences on the UTPA campus.
Conferencing Technologies Support is available during normal University business Hours 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday. Some classes and conferences are held outside these times and special arrangements can be made for our technical support with adequate lead-time.
