The Information Technology Planning Council is appointed by the President and is charged with coordinating information technology planning in fulfillment of the IT planning requirements of the University of Texas System, State and Federal law, regulations, and policies. The ITPC is chaired by the Chief Information Officer and reports to the President. Its membersn represent every Division, the Faculty, Staff, and Students. The ITPC provides advice and recommendations for issues pertaining to technology governance at UTPA. Membership in the Council is by Presidential Appointment and lasts for as long as the member holds the designated office.
