Purpose
The goal of this procedure is to establish the process of restricting specific Internet content using filters maintained by the Information Security Office.

Prerequisites
Requests for web content restrictions must be submitted by the Divisional Vice Presidents and approved by the Vice President of Information Security.

Procedure
Web content filtering must be requested by the respective Vice President responsible for the department or area where the web content will be restricted.
- A formal written request must be submitted to the Vice President of Information Technology and routed to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for execution. A copy of the request is filed in the Information Security Office
- The written request must include:
- Description of the content that must be blocked as per the specific category and associated classifications under the definitions section.
- IP addresses or subnets where the restriction must be implemented.
- Specific duration or sunset for the implementation of such restriction.
- Business need justification.
