Graduated in 1994 as a Computer Systems and Networks Analyst from the Instituto Technologico de Sistemas de Monterrey in Monterrey Mexico and obtained a B.S. in Computer Science (2002) from the University of Texas-Pan American.  Earned his Masters of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies (MSIS) in Physics Education (2006) at UTPA.

Has been working for the Department of Physics and Geology at UTPA since 1997 as a Research Assistant (1999-2001), as Program Coordinator (2001-2003), Laboratory Stores Assistant (2003-2006) and Student / Teaching Assistant (2001-2006). Since 2006 he holds the position af Laboratory Supervisor and teaches Physical Science , Physics & Astronomy courses.
