Cellist Sarah Kapps has an active and diverse career that has taken her across North America, through Europe, and into the Middle East. A native Philadelphian, she has recently moved to the Rio Grande Valley to join the faculty at University of Texas-Pan American. Ms. Kapps performs with the Valley Symphony Orchestra, the Oklahoma City Philharmonic, and has appeared as soloist with the Fort Smith Symphony. Although most at home in the field of classical music, she has also performed with such popular artists as Joni Mitchell, Johnny Mathis, Anne Murray, and the Electric Light Orchestra. Ms. Kapps received a Bachelor's degree from the Mannes College of Music and holds a Master's degree from the Manhattan School of Music. She is currently a candidate for a Doctor of Musical Arts at the University of Oklahoma.
