Interdisciplinary Program

Courses taken through our Interdisciplinary Program are available online at assist.utpa.edu. To view specific courses click on Class Schedule under the assist menu. If you would like read more about a particular course (course description), you can view the online catalog, under the assist menu.

Important Note: It is important to view the content of each course before making a selection. Each course listed in the catalog has a prerequisite course that must be taken. It is a requirement that each student must have taken all course prerequisites before enrolling in a particular course. As part of the program, The Office of International Programs requires you to submit a current transcript from your home institution that includes all courses taken. This document must be submitted with enrollment applications.

Upon enrollment, The Office of International Programs requests for each student to fulfill the following course requirements:

A. Undergraduate Exchange Students :

For a semester session, each student must submit a list of 7 courses. The first four courses will be listed on the class schedule and the remaining three will be used as back up courses in case any of the first 4 are cancelled.

For a summer session, each student must submit 5 courses to the Office of International Programs. The first 2 will be listed on the class schedule and the last 3 will be used as back-up courses in case any of the first 2 are cancelled.

B. Graduate Exchange Students :

For a semester session, a student must submit 7 courses to the Office of International Programs. The first 3 will be listed on the class schedule and the last 4 will be used as back-up courses in case any of the first 3 are cancelled.

For a summer session, a student must submit 5 courses to the Office of International Programs. The first 1 will be listed on the class schedule and the last 4 will be used as back-up courses in case the first one is cancelled.

Important: No changes will be accepted on the first day of class. All courses must be submitted to the Office of International Programs upon submitting all enrollment applications.
