The purpose of International Events is to offer culturally enriching and educational activities to our university and surrounding community. We wish to promote awareness and understanding of global issues, both contemporary and historical, through the context of both the natural sciences as well as the humanities.
The Office of International Programs collaborates with UTPA faculty, staff, students, and other community members to organize International Events. Activities planned throughout the year include representatives and speakers from a number of different countries in addition to various art exhibits, cultural nights, study abroad fairs, and film series.
