Admissions
The applicant must have a 3.0 Grade Point
Average (GPA) or higher on a 4.0 scale in the last 60 semester
or 90 quarter hours completed. The applicant must submit Graduate
Record Examination (GRE) scores. The applicant must submit
at least three (3) letters of recommendation from persons
in a position to judge the professional and academic potential
of the candidate.
The applicant must submit an application with statement of
reason for pursuing a Master’s degree in School Psychology.
B.A. or Master’s in a field related to the exceptional
learner and culturally and linguistically diverse learners
(e.g. Psychology, Biology, Mathematics/Statistics, Spanish,
Sociology, Special Education, Education, Bilingual Education,
Educational Diagnostician or Social Work).
Program:
The 60 semester credit hour Master of Arts
in School Psychology provides the option of a thesis program
or a non-thesis program.

*If a student elects to complete a thesis,
six semester hours of thesis courses can be credited toward
the sixty semester credit hours required for a Master’s
Degree in School Psychology.
**Students who choose the option for a non-thesis program
will be required to prepare and submit research paper to a
professional conference for presentation or a manuscript to
a professional journal.
