Educational Diagnostician Program
Master
of Education Degree in Educational Diagnositician and Educational
Diagnostician Certification.
Requirements for Admission
In addition to the
University's graduate admission requirements, students must
meet the Educational Diagnostician Program admission requirements
as shown below:
- Applicants must be a teacher
certified in special education or be willing to obtain special
education certification. Documentation required: Texas Teacher
Certificate(s),Teacher Service Record,Teacher Evaluation WDAS).
- Applicants should have a 3.0 grade point
average (GPA) or more on a 4.0 scale in the last 60 hours
or 90 quarter hours completed.
- Applicants must submit Graduate Record
Examination (GRE) scores.
- Applicant must submit an application including
a letter of intent stating reasons for pursuing a master's
degree in Educational Diagnostician.
- Applicants must submit at least three letters
of recommendation from persons in a position to judge the
professional and academic potential of the candidate
Program admission is not based on any single
criterion; multiple criteria are considered. Students who
are denied admission for any single reason may appeal to the
Educational Diagnostician Faculty.
Appeals Process
- File a letter of appeal.
- Provide an essay that details significant
life events, with an emphasis on achievements and responsibilities
that would indicate an ability to undertake graduate work
and a probability for success in the field of Educational
Diagnosis.
- Complete an interview by a committee of
Educational Diagnostician Faculty.
