How would you describe your teaching philosophy or style?

I believe students enter my classes with a wealth of knowledge and expertise already in place. It is my responsibility as a professor to provide students with opportunities to be exposed to information that is relevant and meaningful to them. What you like about teaching at UTPA, especially your take on the students?

I have chosen to work at UTPA because of the wonderful student body. Man students are first generation college students who work off campus. Nevertheless, the students strives to earn a degree while balancing many responsibilities. I admire and respect such effort.
