Become a Member

    Membership in Gamma Omicro Delta of Chi Sigma Iota is open to current graduate students in the counseling program who have earned at least 9 credit hours, maintained a 3.5 grade point average and obtained a counseling faculty member’s recommendation. Membership applications may be obtained from Faculty Advisor Dr. Yvonne Castillo, or by visiting the organization’s website. After applications are submitted, reviewed and approved, new members are then inducted into the organization during an Induction Ceremony held each Spring semester.

    Specific criteria must be met in order to wear the honor regalia during graduation. If you wish to become more involved, have questions, or contributions, please do not hesitate to contact any of the officers or faculty advisor!

Please be aware you will need the following information to fill out the on-line registration form:

1) Your credit card – First year membership dues are $35
2) CSI Chapter Faculty Advisor - Dr. Yvonne Castillo
3) Local chapter name – Gamma Omicron Delta
4) University – University of Texas – Pan American
5) The number of degree credit hours you have completed
6) Your current GPA
7) Expected graduation date
8) CACREP Program - No
9) CORE Program - No

Counseling students with 9 or more credit hours and aminimum GPA of 3.5 are eligible to become a CSI member.
