Student Judicial Services

Our Mission

Through judicial services the Office of the Dean of Students works with students, faculty, and staff to contribute to student's learning, personal development and success through providing experiences that facilitate an appreciation for learning, a present and on-going connection to UTPA, ownership of one' decisions, and integrity in word and deeds. In order to do this the following services are provided:

• Ombudsman services
• Mediation services
• Leadership opportunities
• Implementation of the Student Code of Conduct

The priorities of judicial services are:

• To protect the health and safety of students
• To protect the rights of students:
  • The accused
  • The complainant
  • Other students
• To help students understand and accept responsibility for their actions
• Communicate to students UTPA's expectations regarding student responsibility.
