Courses in the Reading M.Ed Degree Program

There are 12 courses in the reading program. You have two options:

Most students choose to take one or two courses a semester. Students who are working full time should not take more than two courses a semester.

Scheduling

Students should take READ 6308 and READ 6309 as early as possible. These may be taken in either order. READ 6325 must be taken at the end of the program. The other courses may be taken in any order. If you choose the thesis option, the thesis courses should be taken sequentially at the end of your program.

READ courses are listed below under the semester that they are offered. ED 7300 and ED 7301 can be taken during any semester. EDCI 6305 and EDCI 6310 are offered most semesters. Other courses have a variable schedule.

Registering for Classes

Once students have clear admittance into the Reading M.Ed. program they can register for courses online through ASSIST. It is recommended that students refer to their degree plan and meet with their advisor before registering.
