How to Apply to the Master Reading Teacher Certification Program
Successful applicants to this program will have a bachelor’s degree with at least 15 undergraduate credit hours in Reading or a related field. They will also be certified teachers with at least two years of teaching experience.
Entering personal information including educational history
Uploading a one to two page written statement describing how this program will help the applicant meet their professional goals
Entering email addresses for two people who know the applicant professionally and would be willing to complete recommendation forms.
Prospective students must also submit the following materials to the program coordinator:
A Teacher Service Record indicating at least two years of teaching experience
Official academic transcripts
Copies of applicable Texas Educator Certificates
The application is not complete until all materials have been received. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.

Once the application is complete the program coordinator and Reading faculty will review the files and make admission decisions. Prospective students will be informed of the admission decisions as soon as possible after the application deadline has passed.
